Marta Povo Audenis was born in Barcelona the 11th October 1951. She began her artistic and photographic career aged 20, working alongside a number of professionals. Later she studied Social Anthropology and Art History in the University of Barcelona. In 1988, after 20 years of successful architecture and landscape photography with distribution worldwide, she turned to the disciplines of medicine and research, her professional specialities including acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, while achieving a deep knowledge in other therapeutic techniques using energy flow and psychology. Since 1994 she has undertaken extensive research into quantum medicine, metaphysics, and applied harmony, and has embarked on a busy literary career.

In 1981-2 she pioneered and directed the Creativity Department of Centro de Psicoterapia de Barcelona. From 1991-5 she set up and directed the ‘Centre Born’, Centre Etiològic d'Autocuració (self healing) also in Barcelona, and in 1996 she promoted an independent research platform from the Geocrom Institute, with a number of professionals from different disciplines: science, pedagogy, metaphysics, art and communications. But her major contribution to the field of physical and environmental health is her development of the Geochromotherapy and Geocrom System. She studies the therapeutic potential of Light, Colour and Geometry as active principles, and investigates the new humanistic value-system that promotes harmony and health throughout human conscience evolution.

Nowadays Marta Povo combines her activities as a therapist with teaching and writing. During the two decades of her artistic career she held 115 photographic exhibitions as well as publishing various books with photographic illustrations and numerous catalogues (see www.martapovo.com). For many years she was professor of Critical Analysis and Creative Photography at UPC University. Since 1997 she has been member of the jury board for the photography prize of the bank of Terrassa. Her education on shapes, colors and spaces, developed during 15 years of artistic work, brings her also to the development of the Geocrom System. Actually she gives many seminars in various countries on the subject of professional training in Geochomotherapy and its specialities, about Intelligent Energy and about Medicine of the Habitat. She treats patients at her consulting room in the Geocrom Institute of Barcelona and at the Centre de l'Hivernacle in the Catalan Pyrenees; also performs many habitat assessments for private citizens, companies, architects and interior designers, dealing with aspects of Feng Shui, the subsoil's Geobiology and the chromatic harmony of living spaces, and also performs the energetic correction using the Geocrom® filters for the Habitat.
